Well I just got back from Juhu... my bro's bike has been serviced... and its lookin AWESOME... he's put a thick Barracuda rear wheel for his CBZ and its lookin Monstrous.. =O ... I’ll try to scan in a snap of the bike... with me on it of course...lol >D... well on my way there, Delton (that's his name) and me got into a little conversation... we were just talkin about serious stuff... like life and the responsibilities we have, where our future is gonna take us, where we wanted to go in life, what our designations would be a few years down the line.... Now this conversation with my brother was like a solar eclipse, for me at least.... We hardly converse with each other, even though we are brother's... the conversations we have are brief, abrupt and to the point. Gone are the days when we used to laugh & talk about crap. However when Vilas (my best friend for the past 14years), Delton and me are together, that's when the good times roll... we have a great time talking about what each and every teenager talks about.... Music, Car's, Computers, Life, Sports, MTV, Cartoons, TV Soap, Comedy Shows, fun, fun, fun and a whole shit load more of fun.... lol >D... Vilas is in Boston now and he's scheduled to come down here in India in May.
NEways Delton picked up his bike and left... I caught a rick and came home with the old back wheel which was on his bike prior to the service... On the way back home I got involved with my thoughts and just started thinking about what life's all about...Like here in an Indian Society, you need to have a good education qualification to achieve SOMETHING great in your life... and by SOMETHING I mean nothing but SOCIAL STATUS. You can't just be a graduate out here in India. You need to be something more, either an MBA, or anything thing that has at least some more alphabets, example Ph.D., MCSE, BALLB, ABC, DICK, COCK, SWINE, lol.... >D (okay ignore the ABC, DICK, COCK & SWINE was just a joke... that was crazie...lol >D)
What I really can't understand is why should a graduate be given inferiority when compared to a person who holds a degree or any of the alphabets mentioned above. It happens alot out here... A person holding a diploma is always 1up above a graduate. Especially when it comes to getting married.
The woman's parents are like, " So you seek my daughters hand in marriage, What's your education qualification?"... "Yes Sir, I would like to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage because I love her alot. As far as my education qualification goes, I'm a graduate." TRUST ME... that is as far as the groom would go with his proposal if he were just a graduate. Not fair, Definitely not fair at all.... Sure a person who holds a degree has got a little more knowledge than the grad, but does it matter that much???... In the eyes of SOCIETY... YES... in my eyes and a few other who think like me... NO... But then again I’m the only one who says NO.
When I asked a few people this question, they all said, "Of course YES. A person holding a degree besides a graduation certificate will get a job much more quickly than a graduate infact he'd get a higher post, he would earn more than a graduate and with that he'd even get the SOCIAL recognition he deserves."
Well all that's just a bunch of BULL. I'm a graduate. I've got a sexie job, decent pay and I don't give a rats-ass for SOCIAL status, cuz that never mattered much to me. I mean come on... Today there are 1000's of MBA's who don't have a frikin job, even if they do they get the same pay I get or less. And don't get me started on the SOCIAL STATUS they have...
Accepted that everyone has a right to have his/her own beliefs, but come on all that matters to us here in India is the SOCIAL STATUS... Everyone here in India is scared of being recognized as "JUST A GRADUATE." .... For what??? What's so bad in being just a graduate? You get paid, your happie, you’re enjoying your job, whatelse is missing. Oh yes SOCIAL STATUS!!!... But since I don't give a fuck for SOCIAL STATUS I guess there's nothing missing here...
What does SOCIAL STATUS actually give us? It just increases the level of discrimination in SOCIETY, which leads to harmful consequences. Hey even Mahatma Gandhi fought for us so that everyone could be treated equally in SOCIETY... and this is what it has come to... Wish Gandhi were here to see what he fought for...
